Nam June Paik
What if we could shrink our ears and minds small enough to hear the cries of all the creepy-crawlies we murder without a second thought? The rolled up newspaper rumbling ominously through the air, getting close enough to make out the same portion of the headline a thousand times over. The moment of horrified realization and immediate dread that comes to those caught at the foot of an avalanche or the shore of a rising tsunami. In that gap between this moment and oblivion, a rushed prayer to God, asking that He may soar in on mighty wings and snatch us from death’s grip with His gigantic proboscis.
